Nah, unless you create a bot to deliberately create numbers of referrals, I don't think it matters. Even if you referred yourself and played on a new account and got the 5k sp from the new account onto your main account via referral system, it shouldn't matter unless you're doing it multiple times.

Check F.Sultan Mehmet, that's a lot of referrals.

And creating a referral account to get half sp you earned with referral account ...it does seem a little bit idiotic.
