My father is Greek. But i identify as Tuvan because good things happened to me, even though i wasn't even born there, but hey, who cares. Half of Europe emigrated to North America and claim to be American Nation, so no questions there.

i think Paris also showed condolences by dimming the lights on the Eiffel Tower but only after public pressure against the mayor...
Well even if the governments hate each other at least the people showed respect but same cant be said about Berlin or London.
