Hundreds of people lined the streets of the Bosnian capital Sarajevo on Saturday to bid farewell to the recently identified remains of more than 120 people murdered in the 1995 Srebrenica massacre.

The bodies of the 127 victims began their final journey from the central Bosnian city of Visoko on Saturday morning on a truck covered with a large national flag and laden with flowers.

As the cortege passed through Sarajevo, many onlookers could be seen openly crying. People showered the truck with flowers and prayed for the victims.

The remains were then slowly taken to the nearby village of Potocari, just northwest of Srebrenica town, where the victims will be buried on Monday, which marks the 21st anniversary of the murders.

About 8,000 Bosnian Muslim men and boys were killed after the Bosnian Serb army attacked the UN 'safe area' of Srebrenica in July 1995, despite the presence of Dutch troops tasked with acting as UN peacekeepers.

The youngest victim among the 127 dead has been identified as Avdija (Emin) Memic who was 14 when he was killed. Memic will be buried along with his uncle Abdulrahman and his young cousin Halil, who was 16 when he died.

Every year, the remains of more than a hundred victims are identified and buried in Potocari village on the anniversary of the genocide.

However, hundreds of Bosniak families are still searching for missing people as a large number of victims were thrown into mass graves around the country during the Bosnian War.

Around 8,400 people remain missing after the war, according to the Institute for Missing Persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

21 Years After Srebrenica Genocide

The Full Story:

"Here we are, on July 11, 1995, in Serbian Srebrenica, just before a great Serb holy day, we give this town to the Serb Nation. Remembering the uprising against the Turks, the time has come to take revenge on the Muslims."

Those were the words the Commander of Bosnian Serb militias, General Ratko Mladic said in front of a TV camera 21 years ago.

Hours later, after a three-year-long siege, his army entered Srebrenica, a town mostly populated by Muslim Bosniaks.

In the following days, his soldiers committed the worst massacre in Europe since the Nazi era.

They killed 8,372 unarmed Bosnian men and boys and buried their bodies in the forest around the village of Potocari near Srebrenica.

It was the worst atrocity committed by Bosnian Serb forces during the Bosnian War that started in 1992 and ended with the Dayton Agreement in 1995.

On the 21th anniversary of the Srebrenica Genocide, remains of the deceased are still sprouting off the ground. Mass graves are discovered almost every month.

Many of the exhumed bodies had been mutilated beyond recognition.

Officials have to put the remains into DNA tests to determine their identity. When remains of a corpse is identified, relatives are informed. Sometimes, one part of a victim's body is dug up tens of kilometres away from where the rest of it had been found.

Still, the relatives are pleased to recover the remains.

Every year in July, Bosnians come together to remember their sufferings.

They walk the same route of their elders, from Tuzla to Srebrenica, -a 150-km journey- to better understand the plight of persecution.

It's called "March of Peace." On July 11, crowds gather at the Srebrenica Genocide Memorial outside the Potocari village.

The funeral ceremonies of all victims are held and the remains are buried.

This way, families have a place where they can pray for their loved ones.

Any sources for this? That seems like an outlandish claim, even for you.

Pavle gave you source. There are UN and other reports.

It is sad you don't know that.

Robert De Niro and Dustin Hoffman made a movie in 1997 about that, called 'Wag the dog'.

How did you manage to learn so much about American film while riding elk in the Urals?

Because we have Television here, probably had better quality in the Cold War than the West, because we had 100% coverage from Baltic to Pacific, while US for example didn't had in the countryside.

We also have schools and science cities, where we educate ourselves, travel to space, test rockets, chemical elements, play with nuclear power. But when we finish our daily tasks, we take vodka and shashlik and squat with gopniks around the corner.

pavle gave us source for his "127" iq

YOUR PICTURE LITERALLY SAYS 1941-1945,AND IT'S NOT EVEN FROM SREBRENICA.
Were there 3.287 //not sure for numbers, because I quote ,dead serbs ? yes ,but they were soldiers . If you actually knew a shit ,you would know that there is separate cemetary for dead soldiers. But hey,why should you even bother.

6,469 Serbs are killed in Srebrenica during WW2, 3,267 during Yugoslav Civil War. That's what it says.

But i don't know why you posted this anyway, in the game which is openly anti-muslim. I don't know what reactions you expected. Maybe West supported Muslims and Turks in Bosnia 20 years ago, but only to destroy Yugoslavia - country they lived in. Now they don't care for you, they think you are all terrorists. If you travel to West you will be harassed and won't have rights like them, no matter how hard they beat their chests about liberty, freedom and equality, they are still selfish colonists.

You literally yesterday had commemoration for 69 serb victims,SOLDIERS and CIVILIANS,which was funded by organization of serb army veterans. As for WWII I can't confirm,or deny it,but for the period of aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina,I can confirm that number is close ( likely ) realistic, but those people are counted soldiers , who may died there,or,for an example in siege of Sarajevo, and civilians.

As for the west, you are trying to imply that aw represents something, but fact is that aw is filled with racist, xenophobic idiots, which you may find everywhere .

I see mention of Albanian mafia, Kosovo Liberation Army, and an Azeri doctor. Nothing about Western powers being involved.

the west was helping the KLA even though they first had them branded as a terrorist organisation , they were hypocrites

As for Croatian provinces:
Dalmatia - 92% of Croats
Slavonia - 88% of Croats
Istria - 76% of Croats

There is not a single intension of any of these provinces about getting free. On the contrary, Croatia is carrying out it's decentralisation very well (accent was on capital Zagreb), which is heavily accepted by all these provinces.
Rather go dream about independent Sandžak (Serbia) with mostly muslim population. Oh wait, you don't need to dream it, just wait couple of years

Big Serbia dream fallen - 1990s.
Montenegro seceded - 2006.
Kosovo seceded - 2008.
Sandžak secedes - ?
Vojvodina secedes - ?
In about one decade or two, of Serbia will remain only public toilet in Belgrade. Keep it up

I don't see any insult, I stated the facts with a metaphorical conclusion.
You Serbs are always putting nose where it doesn't belong, point of this was to tell you to rather watch on your country and it's provinces than ours, we're 100% stabile and we're (with Slovenia) leading in almost all areas in comparision with another Balkan states (especially ex-YU ones)

Nazi Croatian dreams

Lol you silly nazi donkey, what nationality have to do with regions? Vojvodina have 70% Serbs and yet they were given autonomy in Serbia in Yugoslavia. Why Croatian Serbs weren't given autonomy in Croatia in regions they were majority i wonder, or Bosnian Serbs in region they formed majority.

Dalmatia will get more developed because of more money it recieve from tourism and investment while Slavonia will become backward for no advantage. Then Dalmatia will cry how their tax money goes into developing poorer nothern regions and they will separate. That is inevitable. Just like in Italy.

Oh yes i forgot Sanzak! 60% Serbs 40% Turks, majority not visible like Jews in West Bank. Sanzak pure European region with shashlik Muslims renamed kebab, stealers! That region will separate as well, but become vulnerable to terrorists because then there won't be police and inteligence to protect unfortunately.
