United Nations has proven itself as a failure for its entire history and will continue being useless
problem is in human nature we are animals we fight for territory and resource
The UN has done a lot. It may not be perfect and may not have solved every problem in the world but it has done a lot of accomplishments. Polio has been eradicated except for in three nations. Smallpox was eradicated. They have helped with refugees as a result of war or natural disasters. The list goes on and on and I could name a ton more but I don't feel like listing every single thing. To say the UN has not done anything is just ignorance on your part.

In my opinion UN should resolve world problems and not states from it self ... for expample for isis , i dont like there are states that decide what to do ... i would like UN to decide what to do (and maybe decide the states that have to do it)

How are health problems not world problems? Millions of people die from diseases every year and the UN has helped to lower that number significantly. How about another thing they are helping, education. Countries need educated people in order to move their nation forward. Although not every kid in the world is getting an education all the way to college, the UN has helped in making the number of kids going to school increase. They have helped with combating terrorists. They clear landmines in countries around the world so civilians do not get killed because of a previous war. Like I said before, the UN isn't perfect. There is no wya they can solve every problem in teh world the way every person in the world wants it to be solved but I think after all they have done and continue to do, they should receive credit for.

I agree with Skender. The UN has helped a few people, but Africa is still as bad as its ever been, North Korea still exists, China threatens its citizen's rights, etc. The UN is simply a figurehead for world peace, and nothing else. (It's almost exactly like the Holy Roman Empire, but even less centralized). The UN is useless, and I think the USA should leave it so that it can save the hundreds of millions (if not in the billion range) of dollars that it could use for something more usefull.

Overall I would say that most organizations of the UN System are necessary and welcome... rather than dismantling them, they should be strengthened. Sometimes they are the only organizations standing between poverty and misery or chaos and Barbary. In other cases they just do not make any difference.
