As you know, we did something new for the Spring 2021 Season -- for the first time in atWar history we offered a prize pool for the top 3 winning coalitions, and we added a 4th category for Most Active coalition. Our goal was to increase activity, and from that perspective the season was a great success, with a total of 830 CW games played. By comparison, the previous season had 446 games. So this season saw a big increase.

- 3rd place: The Bosniak Legion
- Most Active: Hellenism with an amazing 296 games, far above anyone else
Bets
We also, for the first time in atWar history, introduced betting on the outcome of the season. As of today all the winning bets have been paid. If you didn't win this time, we plan to do this again so you'll have an opportunity to maybe win those back next time.
Drama
As always, there was a certain level of drama and bad feelings at the end of the season. I think it may have been more intense this time around, precisely because we had betting and PC/SP rewards on the line. I have personally looked into the various accusations and found no evidence of cheating or rule violations. Some people want to change the rules for the new season, and there are various conversations going on about this. I'm open to whatever the majority want to do.
Casual CWs
One interesting note about this season I wanted to point out: we had a real resurgence in Casual CWs, which was an interesting thing to see. Of the CWs this season, 138 were Casual! (Compare that to just 9 casual CWs in the previous season.) I want to give a little shout out to the coalitions who participated in Casual CWs this season:
