What do you think about Non-Expansion duels?

I've never understand why people hates them so much. I personally loves Malta vs Iceland no expansion game...

Some players will think "Wow, capstack time. NC destroyers gg". But the first thing is that you will never win like that. The second thing is that destroyers have 8 defense against Submarines, and with MoS those submarines have 9 attack. The submarines would have great chances of victories in a 20 vs 20 battle or higher. On the other way, cap-stacking infantries is even more useless... (I don't think I need to explain why).

After clearing that out, is obvious that you cannot win the game by cap-stacking. The best way to play is to buy MoS stealths, 9 attack and strong range. But you can block any Air-Type of unit pretty easy by building one Anti-Air (whoops this is one of my tricks). You can make submarines, but 1) it will take you time to reach the other side, and 2) you need marines if you want to cap. That consumes units, and you will have to leave yourself open to an enemy attack (who probably did the same !).

As you guys can see, it is even more complicated that spamming certain unit, or capstacking. It requires skills, as building the wrong unit, attacking at the wrong place, missing those small chances aren't any "random" unlike tbs...

Against any capstacker, you either win or draw.
Against another type of player, the battle is on.

no expansion doesn't seem fun

They are fun! Only people like tirpitz ruin it ;_;
