Overlooked short-cuts

There are several shortcuts in atWar, but there are many that are unknown. Shortcuts can be real game-changers, especially when you're on a low starting income map, and you can't afford transports. Here are a few of them. Hope you use them to the best of your benefit!!!

-Please note that on most of these, you'll need a bit of patience to get the correct position and angle needed to perform them exactly right:)


1. Not that usefull, but still interesting: It's possible to get to Sri Lanka from the tip of India. Just get to the very closest point that India is to Sri, and move your stack towards different parts of the island. You'll eventually find your units in the Island!

2. At the South-West corner of Saudi Arabia (at the point closest to Africa, you can shortcut into East Africa. Again, patience is needed to learn how to perform this and others quickly

3. If you're on the island in Indonesia that contains Indonesia's cap, you can shortcut over to the other islands close by on the East (and slightly South). Again, patience is the key:)

4. Probably well known by experts, but mainly posted for any newbies: In Europe, you can shortcut up to the capital of Denmark (across the water) by getting to the point closest to it, and moving your stack across.
This one is one of the harder ones to perform, but well worth it, especially in low-income Europe maps, when you need to strike fast and hard while conserving money.

I personally doubt that. Columna is pretty efficient.

To know if there can be a shortcut, the only thing you need to observe is the width of the land. If you think it's a bit narrow, just try to go through it. You could probably include dozens of those and there's no difference between them hehe hope you have enough energies to keep posting them.

Btw, try going through Central America, around Panama I think.

So, your saying this topic is useless? The main reason I was posting it was for noobs, who don't know to look for those narrow strips of water dividing land. Juat trying to help them, nothing else.

Hm... not exactly but close enough to useless. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be rude or ask you to remove this XDD All I'm saying is that it would be better to teach them how to identify a possible shortcut instead of making them learn a table of shortcuts by heart. That way you're making them learn a lot of places and names which they can easily forget and when that happens they'll totally forget about the possibility of going through that piece of land unless they learn again all the names. Meanwhile if they learn how to detect a shortcut by simply taking a look and learning the mechanics about how to cross them, they will be able to use them all the time, even if they had never heard of that shortcut before. Hope you understand my point and pls don't take this as an offensive comment
