Big merge?

According to the Laochra's post about current CW scene (http://hr.atwar-game.com/forum/topic.php?topic_id=32044), I have a proposal about how we can try keeping CW scene active or even, if everything goes well, improving it's activity.

It's about merging these 'small' number of active players from all CWing coalitions + oldfags who are still being around into 2 coalitions, doesn't matter which ones. The name of these 2 coalitions doesn't matter because our main target is not 'I wanna be in Mortal Kombat', but keeping our holy CWs on life. We can even make up the new 2 coalitions, for example 'Team Alpha' and 'Team Beta' in which we would organise players with trying to keep the equivalence. By keeping the equivalence I mean trying to keep the strenght, number and activity of Alpha and Beta coalition approximately same.

Here's the example how it shall be organised:





If you agree, I will take care to organise players in these 2 teams and, in agreement with Admin(s), accomplish the forming coalitions and transiting the players as soon as possible.

PS. I know this won't be a small step for us as community (the CWing one), but I would take all the job on myself about organising. I really need your opinions, are we brave enough for this? And is this good enough to make the things better

Disagree with 2, I was thinking more like 6. To have any chance of something like this working it would have to be new clans so this has a chance if you can get people on board.

In my opinion, 6 are too many; currently we have 4 active coalitions and 3-4 semi-active ones, so I guess number of merging and splitting up into 6 coalitions won't change the things so much.

By this, I don't say that 2 is the final number and that is must be merged in only 2 coalitions, we can make it, for example, in 3 or 4. Two was just an example of how the things shall work if we agree on this.

Support, except 4 would be perfect.

The problem is that some groups of players dont get along. I think clans like epic clan and mk could merge. Sm enigma and hybrid could also sort something out. If we could get together 4 solid active clans it would be great.

Sm, enigma, hybrid, and illyria all have similar type of people. MK, Aristo, Immortals, Mystics. Same way aswell. Who else is there but EC? Which in my opinion is full of aliens.

What I'm not sure is: Can admins make an exception and somehow set up the new season with only 4 current coalitions which are gonna be allowed for participating the CWs or even to set up the new Alpha/Beta/Gamma/Delta coalitions where we are gonna split up players and play???

Lastly what role would leaders play in this system, and how would they be elected? My suggestion is each former clan should elect one of there's to represent them in leadership and officers should be granted, by leadership group decision.

Oh i know. But 2 coalitions is probably a bit idealistic. There would be drama and personality clashes galore. As for the admins helping out i doubt it. This is actually something ivan could probably do but he hasnt been on in 2 weeks. Even if he did some people might not like it. Some people are very attached to the legacy of their clans. I think the best we could hope for is a few mini merges of the less active clans.

I support but this will never be agreed by community, nor admins care to do it themselves, currently.

We don't need admins to help us with that. It's simple if we form 4 clans and agree to only cw each other then anyone else would have to join one of the clans or be excluded because we won't cw them.

Yea, I was a bit sceptical about the things connected to admins and about some individuals who are attached to their coalition as I'm attached to the club bar at Saturday's nights..

Well I agree, but I don't want there to be some conflicts with individuals who don't want to leave their clans at any price... Even the voice of majority (?) of community should be respected, because it's being proposed only for our better.

Ok here is a suggested format.

Make a sign up post in forum.

Have Clans

A.

B.

C.

D.

Four coalitions in each group. To be considered a coalition atleast 5 members from your coalition must join the new group. Meaning if enigma only bring 4 members they do not count as one of the four slots in each group and don't get a leadership position. Each of the four clans get 1 leader each to represent them. The leaders elect 4 officers from there pool of players. The leaders choose the clan name. Anyone from a none leader clan with less then five members can choose to join any clan they would like as long as the leaders of that clan say it's ok. No refusing to cw each other. No unilateral decisions by elected leaders. Must have a 3/4 majority to kick or change policies. You don't have to kill your legacy clan. You may leave inactive members and alts there untill the experiment is concluded then you may return or decide whether to keep going.

Tell me what you think. This is a rough draft I came up with for the format.

I'm repeating, 2 coalitions from the picture were just an example same as the merged coalitions were picked randomly too, just for an example.
Majority of you support the merging idea, but with the number of 4 coalitions and I have nothing against it.

Sure, why not, may as well give it a chance and see how fun will it turn out to be! Must admit there are feeling attached to certain clans which I'd be sad to see disappear but life goes on.

- 3 or 4 clans seems nice to me.
- Admins won't do much, count only with Sun maybe. We're on our own.
- Some personal issues may arise between certain players so they should be given the option to choose which of the predetermined clans they'd like to join. For this, we'd need a preliminary list which I hope you may do Croat <3
- Clan names could be designed aftwerwards by the own members of the clans.
- Leaderships aspects could be decided by the members by majority.

Confused how this will fix anything

at the moment people are incentivized to log in to cw because their clan isnt entirely active, this will only negate that. people wont feel the need to log in as frequently, making their game play worse, in turn making the whole system fail.

This would kill aw for good.. or just fall apart in a day... but most likely never happen.

The Bermuda triangle is the perfect example of why this would fail, You simply cannot bring in so many players from other coalitions thinking it to be success, I can see this looking good on paper but considering how players are in atwar... this will not work. This would also kill individuality too, there'd be no diversity left and no real reason to compete... 2 teams is just... this is a sad day if atwar has to resort to this

EC refuses to be on same side as aristokratz.
