ONGOING: Afterwind PvE competition

Hello all.

PvE stands for Player vs. Environment and is a commonly used acronym in MMORPGs. It describes the activity of battling computer controlled monsters and units as opposed to PvP (Player vs. Player) which is (obviously) players battling players.

Afterwind is almost entirely PvP focused so I made this thread just as a fun little screenshot competition to see who could get the most SP by themselves in FOUR turns - This means pressing end turn 4 times. Week 5 (reinforcement week) is when you should take your screenshot.

Rules:
World Map
2 Countries
15k Money
100+ Cities
No randoms
Unlimited turn time
You must be ALONE - You can't have anyone joining as a bigger country to get you a reinforcement bonus.

Post screenshots here and state your two starting countries (you can post your strat as well if you want to, but you don't have to). Your screenshot should include a zoomed out world map with your SP and the week clearly visible. I'll also require a smaller image of your settings (as mathdino has posted a few pictures down).

You do not need to pick two countries, it's just an option.

I'll keep an updated list of the top five players in the post below this one. Players may appear in the top 10 as many times as they like provided their country/strat choice is unique.

For example
1 - Zizou. South Korea, Cuba. MoS. 120 SP
2 - Zizou. South Korea, Cuba. Impi. 115 SP

Is allowed.

1 - Zizou. South Korea, Cuba. MoS. 120 SP
2 - Zizou. South Korea, Cuba. MoS. 118 SP

Will not be shown as only the top score per start/strat/player will be shown.

This is not a particularly serious competition, just something to do if you're bored for a few minutes. I'll post a screenshot to get the ball rolling when I get home.

Options menu should be visible too, to be sure of rare units, and starting countries.

Nice idea. Although i don't think you should tell your strategy, because that will give away my tactcs and i don't think its needed to proof you did this a fair way.

Naturally, your rules allow someone to do one expensive country and one country that costs 50 gold, like Laos or Burundi. Anyway, here're my results:

I think you should make 1screenshot of the worldmap (like barry said), with the gameoptions and the playermenu opened at the same time. Otherwise i can easely cheat by making a 50k game with 10initial countries :) . But lets see what Barry thinks about this

Well Barry didn't tell me to post the match options, and the fact that I had only 4k cash means that I did 15k. And you can't have the players menu and the settings menu open at the same time. But I'll go ahead and post the game options here:

I think the key here is in Blitz or GW militia, staying in the center of the neutrals, and never sending militia backward. I'll do the next one with GW and see what happens.

@VRIL since this isn't really a serious thing I didn't expect people to bother to cheat. But in the interests of fairness I'm going to require people to post their start screen as well (and if you want to crop things down to size that's just super).

@Hugo okay, I won't require you to post your strats if people want to keep things under wraps.

EDIT: I was using Germany + Syria Barry.

That feel when u can't do this because you'd always be 1 turn short to get the SP u desire. ;_;

Is there a max amount of entries? I think you should set max to 3 and players' best one out of 3 counts as their final score.

I think Barry wanted the competition to be endless, just like those record games while you keep trying to break. I don't see any reason to limit other players to an specific number of attempts.

I can do 150 sp every game. But i wont upload until break the record.

Just fyi incase anyone missed it, the top five will be recorded in the second post.

Ehhh read the thread, did my first try, surprised I got 3rd. My turns kept ending like 30 seconds-1minute earlier than it said. Nonetheless not bad.
