Economic Warfare

Have you thought about including economic effects into the game? Perhaps cutting trade routes, destroying resources, embargoes, etc. It could weaken defence and morale, force rogue countries to fall in line, or help with assault.

Hopefully this hasn't been already suggested or implemented.

Yes, we have thought of it. It's pretty far down the list, though, and implementing it would be almost like creating a new parallel game (read: not easy).
