25.05.2015 - 04:19 North and South:The Grey and the Blue is basically supposed to be a remake of my first map of the American Civil War which was pretty shit. My goal here is to actually make a somewhat balanced, accurate, and fun to play scenario. I planning on finishing this map once I get my next pay check and get enough money for a prem which will hopefully not be long. I'll be updating this thread later just at the moment I can't get great screenshots because I can't actually edit my map and take screenshots of the scenario and such. The exact map date is September 25th 1861 during the time when Confederate Major General Sterling Price controlled Kansas City before the Battle of Westport, and Confederate forces controlled a small area of Southern Kentucky. The map is made so one part of the CSA is fighting one side of the Union most of the time. The map has six factions, three fronts and one small Dakota front. In the Eastern side of the map is mainly two Confederate and Union factions: Confederacy: Virginia area, Confederacy: Alabama Area for the Confederacy, and Union: New England area and Union:Great Lakes area. (of course you can't see them and I'll take a screenshot when I feel like buying back my prem) The Western front has two sides total: The Confederacy with Confederacy: Trans-Mississippi front (With Sioux and Californian seccesionists) and Union: Western states. The western theatre features the regular Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana for the Confederacy but also having the Californian seccesionists in Los Angeles and El Monte (historically being lead the Mason and Henry of the Mason Henry Gang) and the Sioux Indians, from the Dakota War of 1862. The main work I put into this were the units, both sides have access to regular infantry, cavalry and artillery, but each side also has a lot of historical regiments to play around with. (Which I'm completely changing when I buy my prem since a lot of them are boring and unbalanced at the moment) The list of the special units are: Union: 2nd Rhode Island Volunteers 37th Iowa Volunteers "Graybeard Regiment" 24th Illinois Volunteers "Hecker Regiment" 1st United States Sharpshooters "Berdan Sharpshooters" 5th Kentucky "Louisville Legion" 79th New York State Militia "Cameron Highlanders" 14th Ohio Volunteers 1st California Volunteers 5th Connecticut Volunteers 7th Missouri Volunteers "Irish Seventh" 1st Maryland "Potomac Home Brigade" 20th Massachusetts Volunteers "Harvard Regiment" Michigan "Wolverine" Brigade 1st Minnesota Volunteers 13th Pennsylvania "Bucktail Brigade" 72nd Pennsylvania "Baxter's Fire Zouaves" 10th New Jersey Volunteers 4th Kansas Volunteers 9th Vermont Brigade West Point Military Cadets 2nd Wisconsin Iron Brigade 15th Wisconsin "Scandinavian Regiment" 41st New York "DeKalb Regiment" 55th New York "Garde De Lafayette" 58th New York "Polish Legion" 8th New York "First German Rifles" 146th New York "Garrards Tiger's" 39h New York, Garibaldi Guards "Lincoln's Foreign Legion" United States Marine Corps 20th Maine Volunteers 14th Brooklyn New York State Militia "Red Legged Devils" 9th New York "Hawkin's Zouaves" Confederacy: Charleston Irish Volunteers 1st South Carolina Charleston Zouave Cadets Citadel Military Institute Cadets Missouri State Guard 39th North Carolina 5th Missouri Volunteers "The Irish Brigade" 11th Mississippi Company A. "University Grey's" 1st Maryland Volunteers "Elzey's Brigade" Kentucky Orphan Brigade 1st Special Battalion Louisiana "Wheat's" Tigers 5th Georgia Volunteers "Clinch Rifles" 11th Florida Infantry Los Angeles Rangers 1st Cherokee Mounted Rifles "Cherokee Braves" 20th Texas "Elmore's Regiment" Terry's Texas Rangers 8th Virginia Infantry "The Bloody Eighth" 10th Tennessee "Sons of Erin" Virginia Military Institute Cadets Arizona Rangers, Company A. 1st Virginia "Stonewall Brigade" 8th Alabama Infantry "Emerald Guards" 26th North Carolina Volunteers 7th Louisiana "The Pelican Regiment" Confederate States Marine Corps 2nd Kentucky Sharpshooters Spanish Guards 48th Alabama Volunteers 10th Louisiana "Lee's Foreign Legion" Texas Brigade Washington Artillery Battery Now that I realise it after writing all of this, I probably just could have taken a screenshot of it but you know what fuck it. Yes I know there are a shitton of New York regiments. At this point I could probably just make the entire Union New York regiments.

Hm... might be interesting... could you probably make the maximum amount of rivers as navigable?
