Is there a rule about impersinating a moderator?

I don't want to be "that guy", but seriously it's just plane annoying when people say there a mod or admin(or if they act like one). I don't mind people saying stuff like "Dude stop spamming" and stuff like that, in fact I say that. What bothers me is when players, who aren't moderators say something like "Please stop spamming the global chat. This is a warning but next time you will get silenced". First of all stuff like this starts flame wars, and secondly it's just plane annoying, and can confuse players, and potentially make them do something that they shouldn't (such as giving there password because the guy said he's an admin and stuff like that).

Oh yeah and wanna be mods, just report don't reply. (not this thread you know what I mean <_<)

Here's my take:

If mods are on and not afk = don't say anything, we can handle it, use the report function if you really need to
If no mods are on, or ones on are afk = ok to ask politely to stop spamming
All the time = not ok to pretend to be a mod or to threaten to punish them

Wait do reports even get saved or is it really just a chat thing where you only see it if your reading the chat?

We usually just rely on the chat, though we can filter for reports.

Why isn't there just a data base system that saves reports and the mods can simply check a report folder?... I'm a mod on another site and we use that and it's a great system.

When there is no moderator online, you can always ask the others to not abuse global. However, saying you are a moderator or admin is not allowed. If so see somethine like this, just take a screenshot and report it to a real moderator.

Also, moderators can be easely spotted with the ~sign behing their names. To make sure you meet someone who is really a mod, here is a list of the current active mods:

Why isn't there just a data base system that saves reports and the mods can simply check a report folder?... I'm a mod on another site and we use that and it's a great system.

Only 1 programmer and limited time is my guess. We'll suggest it.

Wow... should probably think of getting more devs? Anyways Amok shouldn't have a problem with it. I did mine in PHP and this was when I wasn't very advanced, and I finished it within 2 hours.
