Suicide bombers struck an airport and a metro station in Brussels. Total casualties estimated at 31 dead and 200-250 injured. ISIS claimed responsibility for the bombings.

You cant say "i told you so " because the brussels terrorists werent refugees,but they were citizens. If the bombing would be calculated based on syrian refugees that a country has, greece,turkey(3 million refugees) ,jordan(2million ),saudi(2 million ) would have had propably lost millions of lifes.

Why should we care about turks? Atleast ISIS is doing something good, removing them.

It's not ignorance, we are well aware that most victims of Islamism are other Muslims. That fact only further demonstrates why Europe would be wise to strengthen its borders and protect the safety of its own people from this violence. Am I supposed to cry every time something bad happens in the world? I would be crying 24/7 for the oppressed women and gays from Saudi Arabia to Pakistan. Any reasonable person understands that it is perfectly normal for westerners to feel more empathy for a tragedy that occurs in a typically peaceful and stable western country as opposed to an unstable third world one. (it's also just more newsworthy)

Thats precisely the reason i can say it. My argument was always, that based on polls and statistical evidence, its safe to say that muslims in Europe never assimilate and accept European way of life. They stay isolated, multiply, create exclusive communities, organize, demand reforms and create problems. It was only a matter of time before something like this came along. You cant force democracy onto people who dont believe in it.1+1 = 2 And Western Europe should be better at math, since it practically welcomed this outcome.

As a last note, its important to point out theres no hypocrisy here. I never claimed to hold people with no regard for human rights, liberal democratic ideals and religious extremists, on the same ground, as Europeans. I thought that went without saying.

No I don't expect us to all cry whenever something bad happens. 300,000 people die every day for one reason or another...

I do expect us to show an ounce of consideration for any life taken by a terrorist act.. Wether the terrorist is anders behring breivik or Osama Bin laden... And for us to distinguish that the difference between them and us is the ability to recognise any innocent life as something sacred.

Well that depends on your definition of third world. If you aren't using the 1970s Cold War meaning then any non-industralized developing country is 3rd world and Turkey fits the bill. 97% of Turkey is situated in Anatolia which is part of Asia, only 3% is in Balkans or European. So no, it cannot "largely" be seen as European. This is all irrelevant to the main point which is that Turkey is comparatively used to acts of terror and Belgium is not.
