Business was good for 3.5 years under Trump until Covid hit.... and business has been shit the entire time under Biden. If I didn't know anything else about either man, this should be enough.

^^ same for me. I was unironically making more under Trump (EVEN WITH covid...) than now. Even more when that number is adjusted for inflation. Some people mention how the US economy has been better under Biden and the "historically" low unemployment, yet I see so many unemployed people due to the tech layoffs and how hard it is to get a job today, even for my US citizen friends. Those of us who work remotely for US companies don't have better luck .

The shooter is NOT the spliced DNA offspring of Sid and WD. This rumor has been circulating for awhile, but it is wrong, morally bankrupt, and completely inappropriate in a time when we should be united. We should condemn political violence and not focus on the perpetrator. We should focus on the victims and focus on moving forward.

It's not the only marker. I also own a business totally outside of the tech industry and it's hurting because people just don't have the money to spend like they used to.

Eh not really, there are so many other factors than just "muh covid", also there's countries who had little to no lockdown and were affected less, ( of course they were affected also to some degree because of the "global economy" ripple effect, where if 1 big country suffers, multiple smaller countries suffers a bit as well, a problem that could be solved with self sustainability of each respective country ). Keep in mind the previous US government wasn't independent in the health related policies and relied heavily on advisors from the Cee Dee Cee ( cue "Mr. Science" ), which also trickled down it's authority to the WHO, so in a way, the USA alphabet agencies influenced the rest of the world on what to do ( for the worse in this case )

It's the off-topic forum, lots of people talk politics here. If you don't like it, you don't have to read it.

From outsider perspective, I find Kamala Harris way less unappealing than Trump, though I'm not American, so my opinion might not hold much weight. While it was the choice between Biden and Trump, it felt like a choice between two senile old men, with one showing it more than the other. However, Kamala brings a sense of fresh energy to the table.

Trump's messaging feels simplistic and irrational to me, often directed towards the unluckier population which was born with lower intelectual capacity, bottom-feeding. I understand that his economic agenda might appeal more from a business perspective, but casting a vote involves more than just economic interests. I'm sure you agree, as you wouldn't have kept AtWar going if money were the only factor.

As someone who follows American politics, I sometimes wonder if these politicians are just trolling. For instance, I recently learned that Trump has been reciting "The Snake" at his rallies, a poem by the fascist author D.H. Lawrence. We really live in strange and crazy times. It's unfortunate that the Republicans didn't nominate someone better. Idolizing Trump just doesn't make sense to me, he destroyed Republican Party.
