Hillary has no base, she got blown the fuck out inside the blue firewall and beyond. The popular vote doesn't matter because most states lack ID laws and 30 million illegals are allowed to vote. Trump only lost the popular vote by 200,000 because california is the most irrational and lefty region in the planet.

USA is a union of 50 states and each of them votes independantly and that should be kept.
What should be changed is the way they vote, for example in texas trump won with about 55% majority (or something like that) yet he won all the 38 votes, same for clinton in california, she won with about 60% yet got all of the 55 votes.

Change that to where they get electoral votes based on percentage of votes won in each state and all is good.

That's a common complaint about the electoral college. In fact, the Constitution makes no reference that the winner of a state takes all of its electoral votes- the states, like Texas and California, usually just decide to do it this way so their party/canddate gets the votes. And I don't see this changing anytime soon :/

The USA is not a democracy, we are a republic. All of the political mechanisms put in place to prevent an outsider from winning an election backfired on the establishment.
