Add custom music to custom maps?

I just thought of this idea, why not allow the map makers to add their own music to their maps. Like if I wanted to make a fallout map I would want to add fallout music to it. Wouldn't that be awesome?

It would but wouldnt it overload the server?

Well as long as it is not a big music file like have a file limit so insert a 5 min music file that will then repeat itself again

BUT, admins have to control the use of music for license (and potential demands) issues.
Maybe include in map editor an option to choose from a wider set of background music... maybe also in "hosting options"?

That battle field song is so old, i have to mute and bring up a youtube tab to listen music

This has already been discussed and uploading maps to custom maps will most likely never happen unless the admins can somehow come up with a way to directly host video's from youtube and only play their audio.

Hm... wouldn't it be tiring to listen to same song all game long? I mean, in case a song is uploaded, it wouldn't be too long so let's say it takes a whole turn for the song to end. In that case you'd listen to the same song once every turn, and if it turns into a long game... well, you'd be listening the same for like 30+ times.

Well i guess playing a music in game would be streaming?

It believe it comes down to who is hosting the music files.

That depends on what song you would be listening too. Also you can mute the song if you do get annoyed with it as you currently can with the default background music. If someone add battle or war music of some sort and its a good one, I'm sure you won't get bored with it easily.

Sure licenses are a big thing for sure but we need to consider that we wouldn't need licenses for some music like war music and battle music because it is created by people not corporations so I'm sure we can use those kinds and if I'm wrong then your idea to have a wide selection of background music that the admins add in would be great too so you can change it in game while you're playing.

I have no idea if you are right or not but I'm sure if this idea gets approved and added into the game that Amok will make sure that all laws and copyrights are abided and enforced.

I think it's a great idea. Personally I never listen to the music of the game, I mute it and pull up spotify, but this would help lol.

Maybe if there's like a mini atwar radio for each game? And people can vote for different music/take turns playing songs? That'd be cool.

Yea one same song, is soo boring.At least there should be 5-10 general songs that we can choose or they will randomly be chosen by itself.
Or maybe to make song for diferent situations.Ya know like when you are wining there should be song that really makes you feel like a champion and when you are losing should be something that will make you feel depresed and stupid.
