Very good changes! I think they are both playable now.

Nerfing of Insurrection: I have no problem reducing the HP of militia to +1 (instead of +2). However, Ins was already getting a DOUBLE penalty on all other unit types: 1) +10 to cost of all other units and 2) a reduction of 1 on attack for all other units. I might suggest eliminating one of those two other penalties if you are going to reduce the HP of militia to +1 hp.

I would like to suggest updating certain strats(e.g. Naval Commander and Sky Menace) to reflect the World Map 2.0. It would be nice if those units could be affected by the strats you'd expect would give them buffs, especially since the goal is to make the map the new default map.

The only downside would be that this could impact custom maps. This may require either rewriting how strats work(e.g. disabling the changes to strats in custom maps by default, requiring mapmakers to enable them by hand if they want them in preexisting maps) or going through the database and renaming all custom units' types that fall into the updated strats' new domain(e.g. all "naval: defense" units could be changed to "naval: defence", allowing mapmakers to choose to make the needed changes later if they so desire, without making any major changes to how strats work. This should be a much easier way to fix the issue).
I suggest this because I'm pretty sure that some custom maps(especially those owned by inactive players) would be broken if NC players, for example, had buffs to naval: defense or secondary attack ships.


If this sounds like a good idea to you, I wrote a highly detailed forum post called "Change Naval Commander(and maybe other strats) to reflect World Map2.0" a while ago that details several ways NC can be updated. I think that my suggestions are close to the best ways to update NC specifically, and similar work can be done on the other strats that would seem to need the changes(e.g. maybe RA needs nerfs to naval: defense, and maybe GW should have cheaper but weaker corvettes).

I also go over how strats on custom maps would benefit from some customizability(though that would likely be a very large project), as well as some recommended changes to how the various ships work.

Yes, Dave is the one applying them. The def bonus thing was discussed months ago between me, Lelouch, Witch-Doctor and Mecoy.
I'm sorry if the changes today weren't talked about more on here... it was more of a quick thing since I happened to catch Dave and we talked about it.
Ideally, the aim for more changes would be a wider consensus between players on specific changes. Also we always have the chance to revert changes if there's a reason to do so.

Remove the defense from transports to both -1 from +1, tank defense -1, and add another range to bomber ( nerf the cost as palm suggested as well)

Good changes, ins was pretty op in small maps and low fund settings.

That being said.

auto-produce for all cities under your control.
This feature has to be also a priority to be developed, it will improve gameplay drastically, getting dc-ed and then having to set auto produce per province manually again is just too time consuming and demoralising.

Alternatively we could also save auto produces in a client side localStorage, that could also work.

I should probably mention that the nerf to LW is just tiny at the moment and we are still looking for more potential nerfs. Please post suggestions in the topic that I mentioned in the post.

The state of the game is dire, and I think it's doomed from the start. No one who values their time is going to spend four hours waiting for a game to fill, only to pray that at least half the players have the basic competence to build walls that aren't... perfect triangles (and the tutorial clearly isn't helping). The overall skill level has plummeted, and what little community remains has either migrated to casual play, moved on to other games entirely, or is simply doing more productive things. At this point, it's best to let go of the game that once gave us such great times with the people who truly made it worthwhile.

I've a lot of good memories from this game. Years of fun cws/duels and drama with old friends and rivals. 204-2016 for me was peak. But the game kept ticking on even then. I'd probably still be playing, but unfortunately there are those who don't want me back on this game.

I've a lot of fondness for all the people I played with. Wherever you are and whatever you're doing, I truly hope that life is kind and you achieve whatever it is you want to achieve. I even hope good old Clovis is thriving lol.

What an inspiring message! I couldn't identify more with your words. For me, atWar was like an escape from reality. My greatest motivation has always been, and will always be, the community, but without it, none of this makes sense anymore. I don't see any satisfaction in winning alone, without anyone, and against bots. Please don't add bots, that would be awful. Hey friends, it's Dominoz. This may come as a surprise to many of you, not the goodbye part, but the mature side of me. Throughout my atwar history, I've put on this "toxic" character all for jokes, whether or not the receiving end found it as a joke. If you got to know me, I'm actually just a chill guy. I apologize to everyone that thinks that I have bad blood with you because of my jokes, truly. Anyways, this has been a long awaited goodbye from me as some of you may know my plans of leaving forever from last season when clan wars were a daily activity. Unfortunately atwar is on its deathbed, connected to a life support machine that's waiting for its plugs to be pulled. I started playing this game out of curiosity one day all the way back in 2016 when I was just thirteen years old. Never had plans to play this game for as long as I am currently, just a game to distract myself for the time being. I'm thankful that my experience was made fun by the people I met over the years that eventually convinced me to play on this game. I won't name the players individually as that would take up a lot of time with a list and loads of emotional personal messages so from the bottom of my heart, truly, I am thankful to have gotten to meet you all on this game. I have never opened up before but as this is my goodbye, why not. I was very depressed from 2019-2021 and the only escape from reality that I had was this game. I used to talk with a lot of people about my depression like Swans, Waffel, and Syrian-force. At one point I almost carried through with suicide but fortunately I was able to be saved from both real life friends and my friends on here. Now I am completely fine, one year before I get my degree with a fiancé and hopefully children soon. Anyways, enough of the sad stories. I'm so, so thankful for everyone on here and continue to be the rockstars you all are. Chase your dreams, become that person you have always wanted to be. There are better days, trust me.

It sucks only in 50k ofcourse, but strategy power needs to be checked on a blank slate, how it beats other stacks regardless of location,
for example, how crazy is 9hp for 30 cost, 4 att 5 def !!!! thats way too strong, i dont agree with a range nerf because it would make it very situational,
the range is fine, but 8hp and 4 4 would be suitable for 30 milita cost, or keep all as is, and make milita 35 or 40 cost.
